President’s Info
As I write this letter, a blizzard warning has just been announced for tomorrow, and I am here dreaming of playing golf at Southwest Minnesota’s gem. I long for “Bummy Bounces”, Eiler ’29s”, Juba “Fairway Finders” and even a chip-in or 20 (who is counting). I hope for an early spring and a successful season for our club and our members.
As always, this book will be the guideline of all things to do at the course. The schedule is mainly set, with hopefully more additions than subtractions. Please make note of the open events and try to commit to playing in some of the wonderful tournaments our course hosts. If you are looking for an event space, please consider the clubhouse to host; Greg will work with you and try to make it as accommodating as possible.
As many 0f you have seen, the shed exterior is complete. There are still many things to do, many of which will be discussed at the annual meeting Tuesday, March 17th at 8pm in the clubhouse. Please try to attend this meeting, as this is the first opportunity for us as members to get together. This also gives the members a floor to ask the board questions or offer suggestions (we welcome both).
We will continue to try to expand our membership by offering the $50 club house credit to any member who refers a new first year member. We will still be having the reciprocal with Redwood Falls GC. Please go through the proper channels when using this deal, as it is the only way to track and have it continue.
Both Jacob and Greg are under contract for the 2020 season, and we are happy to have such an amazing staff.
I want to conclude saying how much of an honor it is to serve the membership of this club as President. That past five years have been a joy; Remember – It is you the members who make this club as special as it is!
Chris Randleman, President (2016-20)
